hi, I'm Vi.

Hi-- I'm Vi, a 28 year old artist who grew up in the suburbs of Salt Lake City, UT. Currently I'm pursuing a tattoo apprenticeship, but I also love character art and design thanks to my history of roleplaying in games. Along with that, I'm passionate about taxidermy, preservation, and bug pinning. I think they're beautiful ways to honor the deceased and give people a new respect or love for creatures they never considered appreciating. Other things I enjoy include pottery, clay sculpting, sewing, reading, creative writing, building the little mini lego rip offs, and going to concerts with my incredible spouse.

Though I always have loved art, I was someone who thought I could never make it my career-- I figured I wasn't good enough and that my dreams were unrealistic. I never stopped creating, though-- and because of this, my artistic abilities have grown and florished in ways I didn't know were possible. I've since decided to pursue my passions as my career, regardless of whether or not it's the most realistic path; I've chosen happiness over security, and I'm alright with that. I'm going to keep pushing my art forward, playing with various mediums and styles, and etching my name into the world of art.

Every ounce of support means the world to me, whether it's a simple social media interaction or someone purchasing an original piece of mine-- thank you for supporting my dreams.

These are some of my favorite pieces of all time from my various projects-- you will find a mixture of mediums below.

Future Plans

The future seems so far away at this point, but I do think about it a lot. My dream would be to own a coffee & oddity shop, have a little tattoo studio out of the back of it, and teach art classes there during days where I need a break from taxidermy and tattooing! I'm not sure if I'll ever get there, but I hope one day I at least get close.

I also really want to make art accessible for all-- which, it is to some degree with the world of the internet allowing us to obtain as much or as little knowledge as we'd like-- but I want to focus more on the communal part of accessibility. Bringing art to individuals who may have tougher home situations and aren't 'safe' enough to explore their passions, or helping those in hospice/elderly care enjoy calming hobbies that bring them comfort and routine.
